Reality of children in VENEZUELA

Reality of children in VENEZUELA

Well, today I want to tell you, or, it is better to say, to tell you that it is not a story, about the reality that children live in Venezuela.

Much is talked about politics, laziness, death, hunger among other catastrophic factors that are experienced in my country, but in reality that goes further, especially in the context of children, remembering that the vision that a student has has another perspective than that of an adult.

A child sees everything from a more optimistic point of view than the older ones, because they still have that touch of innocent and natural stimulation, but what happens when they see that the reality of adults changes so much that it affects them?

I want you to put yourself in this context:

Crouch or sit down, try to look up, put yourself in the same perspective of a child and look:

The first thing they see is a few reluctant, sad parents, some without work, others do not know whether to go out to work, because, or they pay the transport ticket or buy something to eat, the weight loss is inhumanly visible, the forces they do not give, some eat only once a day if they are lucky, the relief is going to school, and if God is on their side they could eat in the dining room, if the food arrives ... I remember when I taught, at the time After lunch my table was filled with bits of varied food, as the children looked at you with an energy, joy, tenderness, innocence, among other qualities that they carried in their eyes, and how to tell them not when they took a bit of their snack, whatever they were carrying ... they pinched their food and they gave it to me with that feeling good to share with one of the people who most love them, it was like sharing with their mother.

But now the reality is different, in a little less than a year I have had the sadness to see how there are children who do not go to classes because of lack of transportation tickets or lack of food, a part of those who still have fainted They no longer eat what a child should eat, that is, they do not eat enough and the little they eat does not support them, as they have substituted nutritious meals for what they get, beware, not all Venezuelan children are going through this. children whose relatives have emigrated to other countries and send them enough money to solve this situation.

Some shopping centers are still full in the food business, that is another reality, but in this article I talk about the other part, the majority, since they are in extreme poverty, and I do not speak to most of the people or neighborhoods nothing more, we are even involved even teachers because the salary is not enough to meet basic needs, many professionals are going through the same situation but we have to live with the painful reality of not being able to help our students, or share with them what they did at the time, because we are in the same conditions or dare to say that even worse, we also have family, children and basic needs of a human being and with all that, the effort and sacrifice that We do to be in the classrooms is supernatural and, we do it with the hope of seeing again that innocent look that enlightened us every day.

Psychologically children are being mistreated, because to see how a society is in these conditions is a collateral damage of the crisis that my country is living, imagine changing the feelings of sharing, innocence, joy for hunger, sadness but above all feel of hands tied to the I can not help

Those who can help at home who are high school boys have left school to go to work, there is not much that they can learn with hunger and with the worry of not having a family sustenance.

The characteristics that I see in the majority of the students are: Worry, Sadness and even Conformism, that is, they worry about not having to eat and feel sad about what is happening but they have seen the same script every day for so long that even going hungry is becoming normal. Education went far to be a priority.
